- We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales within the lighting industry, building materials, sanitary items, or interior design. This role is pivotal in driving business growth, securing product approvals, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the lighting, building materials, sanitary items, and interior design sectors. Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and expand market presence.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, real estate developers, lighting consultants, MEP consultants, and professionals in the hospitality industry. Collaborate with these stakeholders to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
Product Approval: Lead efforts to secure product approvals from customers, ensuring that products meet the required specifications and standards. Work closely with the product development team to align offerings with market demand.
Sales Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve business objectives. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify new sales opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly.
Market Research: Conduct market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and emerging opportunities. Provide insights to inform product development and marketing efforts.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure a seamless customer experience and successful project execution.
Reporting: Prepare regular reports on sales activities, business development initiatives, and customer feedback. Present findings and recommendations to senior management.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is preferred.
3-5 years of experience in sales or business development within the lighting industry, building materials, sanitary items, or interior design.
Proven track record of working with architects, real estate builders, lighting consultants, MEP consultants, or within the hospitality industry.
Strong understanding of the sales process, including product approval and customer engagement.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
