Job Summary: The Head of Sales and Business Development for Corporate Events is responsible for driving sales growth, expanding client relationships, and leading strategic business development efforts within the corporate events industry. This role requires expertise in sales leadership, market development, and delivering client-focused event solutions. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with proven experience in both sales and corporate events, capable of managing a team and achieving revenue targets. Key Responsibilities: Sales Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to meet revenue goals. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the corporate events industry. Lead and manage the sales pipeline, ensuring consistent deal flow and revenue growth. Monitor market trends, client needs, and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions. Business Development: Identify, qualify, and engage new business prospects across industries. Establish and maintain relationships with key corporate clients, agencies, and partners. Lead efforts to expand business into new markets or segments, including corporate retreats, conferences, and product launches. Leverage industry networks to build a strong pipeline of new business leads. Client Relationship Management: Cultivate long-term relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business. Understand client needs and tailor corporate event solutions to meet those requirements. Act as the main point of contact for key accounts, managing high-level relationships. Lead contract negotiations and ensure all client expectations are clearly defined and met. Team Leadership: Build, lead, and mentor the sales and business development team, fostering a high-performance culture. Set clear performance goals for the team and ensure accountability for meeting revenue targets. Provide ongoing training and development to ensure the team stays competitive in the market. Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and event production, to deliver seamless client experiences. Event Planning Collaboration: Work closely with event production and creative teams to align client needs with event solutions. Collaborate on project briefs and ensure smooth handover from sales to operations teams. Attend major corporate events to ensure successful execution and client satisfaction. Financial Management: Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring effective use of resources. Track sales performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior management. Ensure pricing models are competitive and profitable for the business. Market Expansion: Explore new event formats, technologies, and trends to stay ahead in the industry. Identify and assess strategic partnerships and alliances that can drive business growth. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Event Management, or related field (MBA is a plus). 7+ years of experience in sales, business development, or related roles within corporate events, hospitality, or a similar industry. Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Deep understanding of corporate event planning and execution. Strong industry network and knowledge of market trends. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
