Job Summary: The Senior Operations Manager at Khan Chacha is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the overall operations of multiple Khan Chacha restaurant locations across the brand. They work closely with the restaurant management teams to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance with company policies and standards. The Senior Operations Manager plays a crucial role in driving business growth, maintaining quality service, and achieving financial targets. As a Senior Operations Manager, sales forecasting and creating a Profit and Loss (P&L) statement are essential tasks to ensure effective planning, financial control, and decision-making for the multiple Khan Chacha restaurant locations within your. region. They are incharge of making sure the smooth running of all front end operations, provide solutions to any issues which may arise and make sure theyre closed in a timely manner.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Regional Operations Management:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple outlets.
Ensure that all restaurants adhere to operational and service standards as per brand guidelines & policies.
Implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
Work closely with the management to improve on existing SOPs as well as develop new SOPs to improve the service and food standards across the brand.
2. Performance Monitoring and Improvement:
Analyze restaurant performance data, including sales, profitability, and customer feedback.
Identify areas for improvement and work with restaurant managers to develop action plans.
3. Training and Development:
Provide coaching and support to restaurant managers and their teams.
Facilitate training programs to ensure staff members are skilled and knowledgeable.
4. Quality and Hygiene Compliance:
Ensure that all restaurants comply with food safety, health, and hygiene regulations.
Conduct regular audits to maintain quality and cleanliness standards.
5. Budgeting and Cost Control:
Monitor the financial performance and expenses of the restaurants.
Work with restaurant managers to develop and adhere to budgets.
6. Customer Service and Satisfaction:
Focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences and resolving any issues that arise.
Implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
7. Compliance and Policy Adherence:
Ensure that all restaurants adhere to company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Comply with local regulations and laws.
8. Sales forecasting:
Data Analysis: Analyze historical sales data from each restaurant location and identify patterns, trends, and seasonal variations.
Market Trends: Stay informed about industry trends, local economic conditions, and competitor activities that could impact sales.
Seasonal Planning: Anticipate seasonal fluctuations in sales and adjust staffing levels, inventory, and marketing efforts accordingly.
New Product Introductions: Assess the potential impact of new product launches on sales and collaborate with relevant teams to ensure successful rollouts.
Forecast Accuracy: Continuously track the accuracy of sales forecasts and adjust the approach as needed to improve forecasting precision.
9. Creating Profit and Loss (P&L) Statements:
Financial Data Collection: Gather financial data from each restaurant location, including sales revenue, expenses, and other relevant financial metrics.
Expense Analysis: Review and analyze expenses such as food costs, labor expenses, overhead costs, and other operational expenditures.
Budgeting and Cost Control: Work with restaurant managers to develop budgets and cost control measures to achieve financial targets.
Variance Analysis: Conduct variance analysis to compare actual financial performance against budgeted figures and identify areas of improvement.
Profitability Enhancement: Identify opportunities to increase revenue and reduce costs to improve the overall profitability of each restaurant and the entire region.
Financial Reporting: Prepare regular P&L statements for each restaurant location and consolidate them to create a comprehensive P&L statement for the region.
Compliance and Standards: Ensure that financial practices adhere to Khan Chacha corporate financial guidelines and accounting principles.
Qualifications and Skills:
o Masters degree in business administration, hospitality management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
o 5 years of experience in restaurant management especially in the QSR industry, with a significant portion in a supervisory or senior leadership role.
o Excellent leadership and team management skills.
o Strong business acumen and financial management abilities.
o Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
o Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering outstanding service.
o Ability to travel and work across different locations within the region.
o Proven experience as an operations manager or in a related management position.
