Position Overview: The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing the sales operations within a designated geographical area. The role involves managing a team of sales representatives, developing strategic sales plans, building strong customer relationships, and achieving sales targets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company goals and objectives.
Manage, mentor, and motivate a team of sales representatives to meet and exceed sales targets.
Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base within the assigned territory.
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies.
Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis to senior management.
Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to ensure alignment and drive business growth.
Conduct regular training sessions and performance reviews for the sales team.
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
Proven experience as an Area Sales Manager or similar role, preferably in Field Marketing.
Strong understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to analyze sales metrics and create actionable plans.
Proficient in MS Office and CRM software.
Fluent in English and Kannada; additional languages are a plus.
Willingness to travel within the assigned area.
