Position Overview
The Sales & Business Development Executive is a key player in driving revenue growth for our company. This role requires a highly motivated individual with exceptional communication skills and a strong understanding of the electrical engineering industry. The successful candidate will identify, develop, and close sales opportunities while building lasting relationships with customers.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting and Lead Generation:
Actively seek out new business opportunities through various channels, including cold calling, networking, referrals, and online research.
Conduct in-depth research on potential customers to understand their specific needs and pain points.
Build a robust pipeline of qualified leads to meet or exceed sales targets.
Consultative Selling:
Effectively communicate the value proposition of our products (switches, house-wires, power devices, switchgears, cables, etc.) to prospective customers.
Provide expert advice and guidance, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor in the industry.
Tailor sales presentations and demonstrations to address the unique needs of each customer.
Relationship Building:
Foster strong, long-term relationships with customers by delivering exceptional customer service and support.
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring satisfaction.
Maintain regular communication to stay informed about evolving customer needs and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
Sales Negotiation and Closing:
Negotiate terms and pricing agreements to secure profitable deals while maintaining customer satisfaction.
Prepare and present compelling proposals, contracts, and quotations to prospects.
Close sales effectively and achieve or exceed revenue targets within specified timelines.
Market Analysis and Reporting:
Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
Analyze sales data and performance metrics to evaluate progress towards targets and identify areas for improvement.
Prepare regular reports and forecasts on sales activities, pipeline status, and revenue projections.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (with MBA being an advantage).
2-5 years of experience in the electrical engineering industry, with a strong understanding of products such as switches, house-wires, power devices, switchgears, and cables.
Proven track record of success in sales and business development.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with customers.
Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
Willingness to travel within Bangalore and occasionally to remote locations.
Self-motivated and results-oriented.
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently as well as in a team.
Own vehicle for commuting is required.
Fluency in English, Kannada, and Hindi is preferred.

Salary: Rs 25,000 - Rs 35,000 monthly CTC, depending on qualifications and experience.
