Software Test Engineer

Overview: As a Software Test Engineer with 2-4 years of experience, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and designers to identify issues, provide feedback, and implement solutions.

Responsibilities:
 Test Planning and Strategy: Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies based on project requirements and specifications. Identify test scenarios and prioritize testing activities based on risk and business impact.
 Test Execution: Execute manual and automated test cases to validate the functionality, performance, usability, and security of software applications. Conduct regression testing to ensure that new features or bug fixes do not adversely affect existing functionality.
 Defect Management: Document, track, and prioritize defects using bug-tracking tools such as Jira or Bugzilla. Work closely with development teams to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues promptly.
 Test Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Appium, or similar frameworks. Continuously improve test automation coverage to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes.
 Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, discuss test results, and advocate for quality throughout the development lifecycle.
 Quality Assurance Processes: Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and best practices. Participate in peer reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and training activities to enhance team capabilities.
 Reporting and Communication: Prepare and present test reports, metrics, and findings to project stakeholders. Communicate effectively with team members to provide updates on testing progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.

Requirements:
 Bachelors degree in Engineering, or related field.
 2-4 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing roles.
 Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.
 Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
 Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
 Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
 Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in
 a collaborative team environment.
 The FRND team operates six days a week, with the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month as working days.
