Overview
The Sales Head plays a crucial role in the organization, leading the sales team and driving revenue growth. They are responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing key accounts, and ensuring the team meets and exceeds sales targets. The Sales Head collaborates closely with other departments to align sales efforts with overall business objectives and fosters a culture of high performance and customer-centricity within the sales team.
Key responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives and drive revenue growth.
Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to achieve individual and collective targets.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships to expand market presence.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
Analyze sales data and metrics to provide insights and inform decision-making.
Create and manage sales forecasts, budgets, and KPIs to track performance and drive accountability.
Collaborate with marketing, product, and other teams to ensure alignment of sales efforts with overall business goals.
Develop and implement effective sales training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to adjust strategies as needed.
Participate in the hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluation of sales team members.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to promote products and services.
Manage and resolve escalated customer issues and complaints in a timely and effective manner.
Contribute to the development and execution of pricing strategies and sales promotions.
Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and regulations within the sales department.
Report on sales performance, achievements, and challenges to senior management.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
Proven track record of at least 8-10 years in sales management, with progressive leadership experience.
Demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective sales strategies and achieving revenue targets.
Strong understanding of sales planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a focus on coaching and performance optimization.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to build and nurture strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
Proficiency in CRM software and other sales-related tools and technologies.
Strategic mindset with a results-driven and customer-centric approach to sales management.
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and competitive business environment.
Certifications in sales management or relevant areas are a plus.
Deep understanding of market trends, industry dynamics, and competitive landscape.
Experience in managing cross-functional collaboration with marketing, product, and other teams.
Thorough knowledge of sales performance metrics and best practices in the sales industry.
