Vice President of Artificial Intelligence

Our client is seeking a visionary leader with deep expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data-driven technologies, including the rapidly growing field of generative AI. As a VP of Artificial Intelligence, you will drive the strategic vision and execution of AI initiatives, oversee the development of AI-powered products, and lead multiple AI-focused teams. You should excel in implementing large-scale AI frameworks and have exceptional communication, strategic planning, and leadership abilities.

About the Role:

Lead and manage multiple AI and data science teams to deliver innovative AI solutions, with a special focus on the development and integration of generative AI technologies. Oversee the development and implementation of AI algorithms, machine learning models, and data analytics pipelines. Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and other cross-functional teams to integrate AI, including generative AI, into core business strategies and product offerings. Shape the companys AI strategy, ensuring the adoption of state-of-the-art techniques and best practices. Drive AI research initiatives while balancing business objectives and technical feasibility. Ensure the continuous improvement of AI methodologies, tools, and platforms. Provide mentorship to AI teams, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence. Manage AI budgets, resources, and external collaborations with academic and industry partners.

Responsibilities:
 Lead and manage multiple AI, machine learning, and data science teams to deliver cutting-edge AI-driven solutions, including those powered by generative AI.
 Oversee the development and deployment of AI models, generative AI algorithms, and data analytics tools across products.
 Develop and implement AI strategies, policies, and roadmaps to drive the business's AI vision and competitive edge, with a focus on generative AI applications.
 Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure AI solutions meet product, business, and customer requirements, incorporating generative AI where applicable.
 Drive AI innovation, from research to application, ensuring the use of advanced techniques like deep learning, NLP, computer vision, and generative AI technologies.
 Support the testing, deployment, and continuous improvement of AI and generative AI models in production.
 Conduct regular technical reviews and provide guidance and mentorship to AI engineers and data scientists.
 Manage AI-related budgets, resources, and partnerships with external research labs and academic institutions.
 Qualifications:
 Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related fields; Masters or PhD preferred.
 10+ years of relevant work experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on AI/ML technologies, including generative AI.
 Proven expertise in machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, generative AI, and AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
 Extensive experience with data science tools and methodologies, including data modeling, predictive analytics, generative AI, and large-scale data processing.
 Strong ability to manage multiple complex projects and drive innovation in a fast-paced environment.
 Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java, and experience with cloud platforms for AI (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
 Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead strategic AI and generative AI initiatives.,
