Job Details
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SPECIAL SKILLS:
Degree in the biomedical/biology/life science related field.
An MBA or a Masters degree in business is an advantage.
Proven work experience (> 3 years) as a business development manager, or in a relevant role such as client relation management.
Diagnostics/Biotech/Pharma market knowledge and work experience desired.
A candidate with previous experience in a similar position, with demonstrated ability to take initiative and be outcome oriented .
Experience in dealing with contracts, amendments and timelines.
Ability to manage complex and multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work with international partners in a multi-cultural environment.
Excellent communication, presentation, teamwork and time management skills.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific duties of the role may vary depending on the site and teams/functions.
Develop a growth strategy for Sapien, focused on expanding verticals, financial gain and customer satisfaction.
Develop goals for business growth based on set KPIs and ensure they are met.
Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs, research organizations and individuals to find new opportunities.
Develop effective presentations and update promotional materials from time to time to communicate business possibilities.
Contact potential clients and arrange meetings
Increase the value realized from current customers while attracting new ones.
Develop quotes and proposals for clients.
Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
Assist in preparing project reports based on the deliverables and quality objectives.
Attend and represent Sapien at conferences, meetings, and industry events.
Identify, liaise with leading physicians, thought leaders, potential collaborators etc., to seed new product/service ideation and collaborations.
Manage client enquiries on archival specimens, including undertaking queries of Sapien biospecimen database, establishing feasibility of service requests and provision of quote.
Responding to enquiries in a defined time period.
Liaise with BioBank Managers to identify availability of samples and resource requirements on client requests.
Manage and review Material Transfer Agreements (MTA) or Master Service Agreements (MSA). Manage project amendment requests for existing projects, including preparing and executing any amendments to agreement document, release to sites, for amendment requiring substantial changes.
