Job Description:
As a DevOps Engineer, you will work closely with the Cloud Solution Architect and the development and operations teams to streamline the software development and deployment. processes. Your primary focus will be on implementing and maintaining continuous integration, continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and automating infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. You will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes for various applications and services.
Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet to automate the provisioning and configuration of cloud-based infrastructure.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify and resolve issues related to the deployment and performance of applications.
Monitor and analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend and implement solutions for continuous improvement.
Containerize applications using Docker and manage container orchestration using Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the security and compliance of the infrastructure and applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and outages, working towards minimizing downtime and improving overall system reliability.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in DevOps, cloud computing, and automation to propose and implement new tools and technologies.
Contribute to documentation, including system architecture diagrams, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, working on cloud-based projects.
Strong knowledge of version control systems like Git and experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI, CircleCI).
Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Bash, Python, Ruby) and familiarity with software development languages (e.g., Java, Node.js, .NET).
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including various services and offerings.
Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
Solid understanding of networking concepts and system administration in Linux/Unix environments.
Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) to ensure the reliability of the systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
DevOps certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus.
