Role Summary:

As an AWS Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for designing, deploying and managing complex and scalable AWS based solutions.

Key Tasks & Accountability:

 Design and architect cloud solutions on the AWS platform, including. infrastructure as code (IaC), serverless computing, containerization, and microservices architecture.

 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define technical specifications, and develop architectural designs that meet business objectives.

 Lead the implementation and deployment of cloud-based solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.

 Evaluate and recommend cloud services and technologies to optimize performance, cost, and security.

 Develop and maintain documentation, including architecture diagrams, design documents, and operational procedures.

 Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, ensuring alignment with architectural principles and best practices.

 Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in cloud computing and AWS services and assess their potential impact on our architecture and solutions.

Education and Experience:

Domain expertise and qualifications include, but are not limited to:

 Masters/Bachelors degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

 At least 3+ years of experience in cloud architecture and design, with a focus on AWS.

 Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

 Familiarity with machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies.

Skills:

 Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as JavaScript, Python.

 AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional are highly preferred.

 Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, principles, and best practices.

 Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, IAM, Terraform, Cognito, VPC, CloudWatch and CloudFormation.

 Basic knowledge on DevOps services like ECS, ECR, EKS.

 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

 Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
