Technical Architect and Application Engineering Lead

Your role

We're looking for a Technical Architect to:
 ensure WMA - Banking alignment with UBS Technology architecture and standards
 act as an engineering / architecture lead for WMA - Banking technology teams in Pune
 partner with crew leads to develop technology roadmaps that align to business roadmaps
 create detailed technical specifications for solution design and implementation
 work with delivery pods to ensure that the solution is implemented according to the technical architecture.
 provide technical guidance and support to development teams as needed
 create and maintain the Solution Architecture Document (SAD) for each product within crews.
 develop technical architecture that consider performance, scalability, security, and other non-functional factors
 evaluate and recommend tools & technologies that align with UBS technical strategy
 conduct code reviews and provide feedback to ensure that the codebase meets technical standards and best practices

Your team

In our agile operating model, crews are aligned to larger products and services fulfilling client needs and encompass multiple autonomous pods. You'll be working in the CTO stream in Pune, India, helping to design platforms for our diversified business lines and banking functions.

Your expertise
 bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
 broad, enterprise-wide view of the business and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, processes, and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance
 strong knowledge of software design patterns, architectures, and development methodologies
 prior banking domain expertise preferred
 able to apply architectural principles, methods, and tools to business challenges
 exceptional communication skills and the demonstrable ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations
