Our products, MRP priced between 10 and 100, are packed in convenient pillow pouches and cater to health-conscious consumers looking for tasty and nutritious options. We are expanding our reach and looking for an experienced Sales Manager to join our team and lead our sales efforts across various channels.
Job Summary:
The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing effective sales strategies to drive market penetration and achieve sales targets for our range of namkeen snacks and healthy products. This role involves building strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key customers, managing a sales team, and optimizing our market presence. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in FMCG sales, particularly in the food and snacks segment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy & Execution:
Develop and execute sales plans to achieve targets for our range of namkeen snacks and healthy snack products.
Identify new business opportunities and drive market expansion across different regions.
Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies as needed to ensure consistent growth.
2. Team Management:
Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales representatives to maximize sales productivity.
Set clear goals and performance metrics for the sales team, and conduct regular reviews to ensure objectives are met.
3. Market Analysis & Insights:
Conduct market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and competitive landscape.
Provide feedback to the product development team based on market insights to ensure product offerings meet customer expectations.
4. Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key accounts.
Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure long-term partnerships with distributors and key customers.
5. Promotions & Branding:
Work closely with the marketing team to plan and execute promotional campaigns to increase brand visibility and sales.
Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all sales channels.
6. Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis.
Track sales data and generate actionable insights to optimize sales strategies and processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in FMCG sales, preferably in the food and snacks segment.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing a sales team.
Strong understanding of the FMCG market, distribution channels, and consumer behavior.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to analyze market trends and sales data to drive decision-making.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with product launches and market expansions.
Knowledge of digital marketing strategies and online sales channels.
Familiarity with retail operations and merchandising.
