As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community banking- Digital Tech , you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.

Job responsibilities
 Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
 Lead the design and implementation of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable J2EE based software solutions.
 Collaborate with cross-functional teams including. product management, architecture, dependent technical teams, QA, and DevOps to deliver software projects on time and within budget.
 Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
 Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
 Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
 Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
 Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience
 12+ years of hands-on experience in Java software development, with a strong understanding of core Java concepts and libraries
 Experience with Spring Framework, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Spring Integration.
 Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security
 Proficiency in Apache Kafka for building scalable and distributed event-driven systems.
 Familiarity with Apache Cassandra or similar NoSQL databases for high-performance, distributed data storage.
 Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
 Proficiency in microservices architecture and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
 Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
 Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
 In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
 Familiarity with machine learning concepts and frameworks, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch or scikit-learn.
 Knowledge of Python programming language for data analysis and scripting tasks.
 Experience with Elasticsearch for scalable and real-time search and analytics.
