    The Position Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer - CI/CD Automation & Release Management The Chapter You join the Product Development, Integration and Engineering Chapter, a global team of technical profiles, including Cloud DevOps Engineers, located around the world who are involved in various projects for all Roche divisions. The variety of the technical profiles in the Chapter allows you to grow and get support from virtually any technical angle. As a chapter member, you are joining a durable product team that is focusing on products supporting the business. The Product Line The DevSecOps Enablement Product Line has been established to support the software development lifecycle across Roche with an experienced team and a tools library that allow Roche Product Teams to leverage industry best practices and Roches enterprise platforms for their DevSecOps needs. The Product For this position which is designed to join the CI/CD Automation & Release Management Product Team, you will be. designing, implementing, maintaining and supporting solutions deployed in hybrid infrastructure, with a focus on on developing and streamlining the software delivery life cycle by automating processes, enhancing collaboration and ensuring delivery with high quality. We expect the versatility of the common skill set of DevOps Engineers as well. Roles and Responsibilities Design, build and deliver highly available solutions for supporting software engineers and DevOps engineers at Roche Troubleshoot and diagnose problems, understand root cause for the issues and carry out deployment fixes, and keep systems up Administer multiple platforms with thousands of users Work with bleeding-edge tools and technologies Continuously learn and upskill on relevant technology products and methodologies, leveraging and training resources provided Develop and maintain technical specifications, diagrams and supporting system documentation and system architecture documentation Champion automation and evangelize lean development Participate in technical peer reviews (design reviews, code walkthroughs, test reviews and root cause analysis sessions) Collaboration with the architecture team on ensuring technical roadmaps for the solutions are technically sound and forward-looking Skills & experience Must have Bachelor or Master degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Applications or related field Experience in software development lifecycle from requirements gathering, design, software development, testing and retirement of systems Experience with repository managers like Artifactory, Nexus Experience with SCM tools (Git) and project management tools Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Gitlab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Azure Devops Service. Experience in container technologies (e.g. Docker, LXC) and container platforms (e.g. Kubernetes, Rancher) Experience automating using infrastructure as code (e.g. Packer, Vagrant, Terraform) and configuration management (e.g. Ansible, Puppet, Chef) tools and ability to understand and implement immutable infrastructure. Experience with Public (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure) and Private clouds (e.g. VMWare, OpenStack) Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams Ability to work with team members in other geographic locations, across time zones and cultures Self-driven and able to work independently and interact with project teams Good to have Experience with agile & SAFe software development methodologies preferred Experience building and deploying using Continuous Integration and Delivery techniques preferred as a developer Experiencing building, architecting, deploying Hashicorp platforms (i.e., Vault, Terraform, Consul) as a developer Experience in mainstream programming languages (Java, Python) and scripting languages (bash, python) Working experience in Pharmaceutical/Diagnostics industry Knowledge of regulatory requirements including GDPR, CFR Part 11 / EU Annex 11, GxP, CSV You will work in an agile, capacity-based model to continually prioritize project needs using traditional agile sprint reviews with Roches DevSecOps Enablement leadership, to review progress and align on upcoming priorities.
