Quality Assurance Engineer - Web/Mobile/API Testing

Role & Responsibilities

Testing & Quality Assurance :
 Perform thorough testing of web, mobile, and API applications to ensure high-quality releases.
 Conduct functional and automation testing to verify the correctness and efficiency of software applications.
 Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage.

Backend Testing
 Conduct database testing to ensure data integrity and validate backend processes.
 Verify data migrations, transformations, and transactions to ensure accurate and reliable backend operations.

Test Planning & Execution
 Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
 Execute test cases, identify issues, and report defects in a clear and concise manner.
 Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and ensure thorough testing.

Automation & Tools
 Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts.
 Utilize testing tools and frameworks to enhance the testing process and ensure repeatability and consistency.
 Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in testing tools and methodologies.

Documentation & Reporting
 Document test cases, test results, and defects.
 Prepare and present test reports and metrics to stakeholders.
 Provide feedback and recommendations for improvement based on test findings.

Collaboration & Communication
 Work closely with development teams to understand the application architecture and design.
 Participate in agile/scrum meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
 Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and quality standards.

Key Skills & Competencies
 Strong experience in web, mobile, and API testing (both functional and automation).
 Proficiency in backend (database) testing.
 Knowledge of testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, Postman, JMeter, etc.
 Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
 Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
 Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
 Good communication and interpersonal skills.
