Senior Software Engineer - Full-Stack

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Full-Stack Developer with a deep understanding of backend development using Node.js and a basic understanding of front-end technologies like React or Next.js. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in system design, data structures, and algorithms, along with a deep understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL. Additionally, the candidate should possess knowledge of AWS services to support scalable and reliable infrastructure. Experience in leading a small team of developers is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
 Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performance backend services using Node.js.
 Frontend Integration: Collaborate with front-end developers and integrate back-end services with user interfaces built using React or Next.js.
 System Design: Architect and design complex systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
 Data Structures & Algorithms: Apply deep knowledge of DSA to optimize backend and full-stack solutions.
 Database Management: Design, develop, and optimize relational database schemas and queries, with a focus on PostgreSQL or MySQL.
 AWS Services: Utilize AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda) to build and maintain scalable cloud-based infrastructure.
 Team Leadership: Lead a team of up to 3 developers, providing technical guidance, mentoring, and support. Manage workloads and priorities to ensure timely project delivery.
 Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, promoting best practices in software development across the team.
 Security: Implement security best practices to protect data integrity and prevent unauthorized access across the stack.
 Collaboration: Work closely with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality full-stack solutions.
 Debugging & Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to address them in both backend and frontend environments.
 Documentation: Document code, APIs, database schemas, and architectural decisions to ensure maintainability and knowledge sharing across the team.

Qualifications:
 Education:Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
 Experience: 3-5 years of experience in full-stack development, with a proven track record of leading small teams and delivering complex projects.

Technical Skills:
 Deep proficiency in Node.js.
 Basic understanding of front-end technologies, especially React or Next.js.
 Strong experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL or MySQL.
 Strong knowledge of system design, data structures, and algorithms.
 Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
 Experience with RESTful API development and integration.

Leadership Skills:
 Experience leading a team of developers, with the ability to mentor, guide, and manage team dynamics.
 Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
 Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:
 Experience with microservices architecture.
 Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
 Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
 Experience with performance tuning and optimization across the full stack.
