Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Business Development Senior Manager specializing in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Sales and MEP Contract Sales. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving business growth by identifying and securing new opportunities within the electromechanical infrastructure sector. This position requires extensive travel across India, based on project needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sales Strategy:
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives in the MEP sector, Data centers, Industrials and commercial projects.
Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within MEP sales and contract sales, focusing on creating a robust sales funnel targeting projects worth INR 1,000+ crore.
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and industry partners.
Client Relationship Management:
Establish and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships to ensure repeat business and referrals.
Understand client needs and deliver customized MEP solutions that align with their goals.
Drive Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) sales to enhance service continuity and client satisfaction.
Lead Generation & Funnel Development:
Focus on generating and nurturing leads within the data centers, industrials, and commercial projects sectors.
Develop a comprehensive sales funnel with a target of generating business worth INR 1,000+ crore.
Engage with potential clients through various channels, including networking events, industry conferences, and direct outreach.
Market Research & Analysis:
Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, potential clients, and competitor activities.
Analyze market data to formulate effective strategies for market penetration and expansion.
Proposal Development & Negotiation:
Prepare and deliver persuasive proposals, presentations, and sales pitches to potential clients.
Lead contract negotiations to secure favorable terms for the company while ensuring client satisfaction.
Project Coordination:
Collaborate closely with project management and engineering teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Monitor project progress and address any issues that may impact client satisfaction or project timelines.
Team Management:
Manage and mentor a team of business development professionals.
Set clear performance goals, provide feedback, and support team development to achieve sales targets.
Travel & Site Visits:
Conduct site visits and attend meetings across various project locations in India as required.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote services and network with potential clients.
Reporting & Performance Metrics:
Prepare and present regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and key performance metrics.
Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on market trends and sales performance.
Key Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development or sales within the MEP or electromechanical infrastructure industry.
Strong technical background in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree preferred.
Proven track record of securing large-scale contracts and driving business growth, with experience in developing sales funnels worth INR 1,000+ crore.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to travel extensively across India as required.
Preferred Skills:
In-depth knowledge of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Familiarity with regulatory and compliance aspects of the MEP industry.
Strong network within the construction, real estate, and infrastructure sectors.
Sales experience in data centers, industrials, and commercial projects is an added advantage.,
