Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic IT Business Development Associate to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in IT services and a knack for identifying new business opportunities on online platforms such as Upwork and Freelancer. This role involves supporting the business development team in acquiring new clients, preparing proposals, and assisting in the bidding process to secure projects in the IT domain.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Generation:
Identify and research potential projects on Upwork, Freelancer, and similar online platforms.
Develop a deep understanding of client needs and project requirements to tailor bids accordingly.
Maintain a database of prospective clients and projects for targeted outreach.
Proposal Preparation:
Assist in drafting and submitting detailed and persuasive proposals that highlight the companys strengths and capabilities.
Work closely with senior business development managers to ensure that all proposals are aligned with client expectations and company goals.
Customize bids and proposals to address specific client requirements and enhance the likelihood of winning projects.
Client Engagement:
Communicate with potential clients to clarify project details, gather additional information, and build rapport.
Assist in scheduling and preparing for client meetings, calls, and presentations.
Provide ongoing support and communication to clients during the pre-sales and post-sales phases.
Market Research:
Conduct regular market research to stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities.
Provide insights and recommendations to the business development team based on market analysis.
Identify new opportunities and suggest strategies to capture untapped markets.
Team Collaboration:
Collaborate with the technical and design teams to ensure that proposals reflect the companys technical capabilities and creative solutions.
Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving the bidding process and client acquisition strategies.
Support the senior business development staff in various tasks, including data entry, reporting, and follow-up communications.
Sales Support:
Track the progress of submitted bids and proposals, ensuring timely follow-ups and updates to the team.
Assist in negotiating contract terms and closing deals in collaboration with senior team members.
Help maintain accurate records of all sales activities in CRM tools.
Reporting & Documentation:
Prepare and maintain detailed records of bids, client interactions, and project outcomes.
Generate reports on business development activities, including successes, challenges, and areas for improvement.
Document lessons learned from each bidding cycle to refine strategies and increase success rates.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
Basic understanding of IT services, software development, and web technologies.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Experience with online bidding platforms like Upwork or Freelancer is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
