Solution Architect - Docker/Kubernetes

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect with a strong background in delivering complex High-Performance Computing (HPC) and container platform projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of architecting and implementing scalable and high-performance solutions in a dynamic environment.

This role involves working closely with stakeholders to define technical requirements, design robust solutions, and ensure successful delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture :
 Design and architect complex solutions for HPC and containerized environments, ensuring they meet business requirements and performance objectives.

Project Delivery
 Lead the end-to-end delivery of HPC and container platform projects, from initial scoping and design through to deployment and operationalization.

Stakeholder Engagement
 Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

Technical Leadership
 Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, ensuring best practices in architecture, design, and implementation.

Performance Optimization
 Identify and address performance bottlenecks in HPC and containerized systems, optimizing infrastructure and applications for efficiency and scalability.

Innovation
 Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, incorporating relevant advancements into solution designs and project strategies.

Documentation
 Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and deployment guides.

Skills & Experience

Overall Experience :
 10+ years of experience in IT, with a strong background in solutions architecture and project delivery.

HPC Expertise
 6 - 8 years of experience in delivering complex HPC projects, including experience with HPC architectures, parallel processing, and high-throughput computing.

Container Platforms
 Extensive experience with container platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift, including deployment, orchestration, and management of containerized applications.

Cloud Integration
 Familiarity with cloud services and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their integration with HPC and container environments.

Technical Skills
 Proficiency in relevant programming languages, scripting, and tools used in HPC and containerized environments.

Project Management
 Strong project management skills with experience in leading complex projects and coordinating cross-functional teams.

Communication
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

Education :
 Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus.

Experience
 Proven experience in solutions architecture and project delivery, with a focus on HPC and container platforms.
