Position Overview: The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing sales operations in the Rajasthan region. This role involves driving sales growth, managing key accounts, and developing strategic relationships with distributors and retailers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the edible oil industry, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and fostering client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Execution:
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share goals for the Rajasthan region.
Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
Team Management:
Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales representatives to ensure they meet their sales targets and professional development goals.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to enhance team performance.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and retailers.
Address and resolve any customer issues or concerns promptly to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Market Development:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities and potential clients in the region.
Develop and execute promotional activities to enhance brand visibility and drive sales.
Sales Reporting & Analysis:
Monitor sales performance and prepare regular reports for senior management.
Analyze sales data and trends to make informed business decisions and adjust strategies as needed.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the marketing team to ensure alignment between sales strategies and marketing campaigns.
Coordinate with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely product delivery and manage inventory effectively.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Proven experience as a Sales Manager or similar role in the edible oil industry, with a strong understanding of the Jaipur market.
Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing a sales team.
Skills:
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in MS Office and SAP software.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
Other:
Willingness to travel within the region as needed.
Knowledge of local market dynamics and consumer preferences in Gwalior.
