Industrial Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Industrial Engineer to join our leather goods manufacturing facility. The Industrial Engineer will play a crucial role in optimizing our production processes, improving efficiency, reducing downtime, and enhancing overall productivity. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in industrial engineering principles, with a focus on time study, line setting exercises, and eliminating non-value-added activities.

Key Responsibilities:
 Conduct time studies to analyze production processes and identify areas for improvement in terms of efficiency and productivity.
 Lead line setting exercises to optimize production line layouts, equipment arrangement, and workflow to maximize throughput and minimize bottlenecks.
 Prepare monthly efficiency reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cycle time, lead time, and overall equipment effectiveness.
 Analyze downtime data to identify root causes and develop strategies to. minimize unplanned downtime, including preventive maintenance schedules and equipment upgrades.
 Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and maintenance, to implement process improvements and address production challenges.
 Utilize Lean manufacturing principles to identify and eliminate non-value-added activities, streamline processes, and reduce waste.
 Develop and implement training programs for production operators to improve skills and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
 Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and kaizen events to drive ongoing enhancements in productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
 Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in industrial engineering and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications
 Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
 Strong excel knowledge and Power BI dashboard experience.
 Experience of Industrial Engineering in Leather goods factory with minimum 3 years of experience.
 Willingness to learn and adaptable to new technologies and procedures
 Knowledge of manufacturing processes and experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus
 Bachelor's degree in mechanical or Industrial engineering background, Manufacturing Technology, or related field is preferred,
