Supply Chain Management (SCM)

Selected Intern's Day-to-day Responsibilities Include
 Conduct cold calls to potential suppliers to gather information on product availability, pricing, and terms
 Collaborate with engineering teams to understand specific technical requirements for procurement
 Utilize online platforms like India Mart and Alibaba to identify and evaluate potential suppliers
 Negotiate terms, prices, and delivery schedules with suppliers to secure favorable agreements
 Collaborate on identifying alternative suppliers and materials to meet project requirements
 Coordinate logistics for both LCL and FCL shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation
 Work closely with freight forwarders and carriers to manage the movement of goods
 Generate purchase requisitions (indent) based on project requirements
 Convert indents into purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
 Track and expedite orders to meet delivery timelines
 Develop and maintain. comprehensive trackers to monitor procurement activities
 Generate and analyze management information system (MIS) reports to provide insights into procurement performance.
 Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency

Qualifications And Skills
 Currently pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering or passed out
 Strong communication and negotiation skills
 Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
 Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
 Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
