- Job Title: Senior Operations Manager

Job Summary: The Senior Operations Manager will oversee daily operations within the FCI (Food, Consumer Goods, and Industrial) industry. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient production, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives while optimizing resource allocation and enhancing team performance. A key aspect of this role will involve extensive liaison activities with various stakeholders to ensure seamless operational flow and strategic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
Manage day-to-day operations to ensure production targets and quality standards are met.
Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams and external partners to facilitate smooth operations.
Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team.
Conduct regular performance reviews and identify training needs.
Foster a collaborative environment to enhance team performance and morale.
Process Optimization:
Analyze operational processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement.
Implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal quality standards.
Oversee quality control processes and drive initiatives to maintain product quality.
Budget Management:
Manage operational budgets and control costs to maximize profitability.
Monitor financial performance and provide reports to senior management.
Supply Chain Coordination:
Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and finished goods.
Maintain inventory levels and optimize stock management processes.
Liaise with suppliers and vendors to secure the best terms and ensure timely supply.
Safety and Compliance:
Promote a culture of safety within the operations team.
Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and industry standards.
Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare regular reports on operational performance, KPIs, and improvement initiatives.
Utilize data analytics to drive decision-making and operational enhancements.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A Masters degree is a plus.
Experience:
5+ years of experience in operations management in the FCI industry.
Proven track record of leading teams and managing large-scale production processes.
Extensive experience in liaising with external partners, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in project management and process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
Strong understanding of supply chain and inventory management.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with various stakeholders.
Technical Proficiency:
Familiarity with ERP systems and production management software.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools.
Personal Attributes:
Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
