As the title suggests, we are looking for a well-rounded strategic marketer who can execute to current benchmarks and raise the bar to set new ones treading the whole mile of an event or an experience-based activation. We are seeking a talented and creative marketer to join the Office of the CMO (OoCMO). The ideal candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing, planning, and executing innovative events that captivate audiences, drive brand awareness, and achieve strategic objectives. With a strong focus on experience design, marketing proficiency, content strategy, and technological savvy, the individual will play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our global events portfolio.
The role will be set on the premise of creativity, collaboration, consistency and commitment and with this role we want to scale our impact further. The candidate should have an eye for creative manifestation, excellent stakeholder management skills, strong executive presence, and is well versed in facets of program management, vendor management and the power of storytelling and craft. Above all, this dynamic person will have the ability to make immediate impact by building consensus and influence to successfully move key initiatives forward with the lean team.
The role is very hands-on and often involves working as part of a team and/or collaborating with different teams in and outside the organization. Ideally, the need is to not just have an event manager on board but a project manager who understands marketing and branding techniques. Good managerial skills are a must as the candidate will be responsible for vendor management, handling internal coordination, strictly following all processes as per company policy. Knowhow of making effective, detailed and robust presentations, usage of templates to customize and make changes to the existing decks, and presenting effectively is also a key aspect of the role.
One key aspect that we are looking for in the individual is to the ability to keep it simple when needed. Someone who can step into chaos and streamline things with problem-solving acumen and intent. Evangelization and elevation should not be forced but should come naturally with the confluence of cost, speed and quality. And the individual should be able to choose best two out of these to drive the most impact.
Overall Responsibilities:
Oversees program activities to help plan, monitor and govern the initiatives, regulate resourcing, set and manage expectations and aim to set new benchmarks with every project
Ability to develop and deliver new projects within brand guidelines, with eye for detail and consistency, yet have the intent to evolve and explore
Be comfortable working with a large amount of ambiguity and mobility, across channels, medium and cultures
Has a passion for both strategy and execution, and can move nimbly between the two.
Works cross-functionally, comfortable with matrixed reporting line relationships.
Helps develop compelling, logically structured presentations and deliverables that will be shared at the leadership team level.
Appreciation of deadlines/timelines and ability to display sense of urgency for must-have deliverable creation
Experience Design:
Lead the development of immersive event experiences that resonate with diverse audiences and align with strategic objectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design innovative event formats, interactive sessions, and engaging activities that foster meaningful attendee interactions.
Continuously enhance event experiences through feedback analysis, trend monitoring, and industry best practices.
Marketing Acumen:
Develop comprehensive marketing strategies to map business objectives with event design, craft experiences as per audience profile, suggest best possible way forward to optimize and streamline redundancies, etc.
Utilize market research, audience insights, and data analytics to identify target segments, refine messaging, and optimize promotional efforts.
Leverage digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and email campaigns to effectively reach and engage target audiences.
Content Management:
Curate compelling content that aligns with event themes, audience interests, and strategic objectives.
Oversee the creation, editing, and distribution of multimedia content including presentations, videos, articles, and interactive materials.
Ensure content consistency, relevance, and quality across all event touchpoints.
Deep-Tech Understanding and ability to champion the console/run the events:
Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and innovations in the events industry.
Integrate cutting-edge tech solutions such as virtual reality, augmented reality, live streaming, and event management software to enhance event experiences and optimize operational efficiency.
Collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot issues, implement solutions, and leverage technology to drive event success right from pre-planning, during the event by managing the setup, governing and guiding the console and post-event reporting
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
This role requires a highly detail-oriented individual, who is comfortable interfacing with high level executives and colleagues in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.
Bachelors degree required, preferably in the domain of business, marketing or communications
5+ years in customer facing role and proven experience presenting to executives
Demonstrated success in building collaborative partner relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
Exceptional ability to identify and solve complex problems
Ability to operate independently and leading through ambiguity and change, and capable of handling multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Ability to deal with highly sensitive information in line with confidentiality expectations
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
Ability to deal with last-minute changes and deadlines while showing grace under pressure
Builds trust-based relationships, operations with discretion and confidentiality,
