Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Manager for New Business Development to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing, and expanding our business in the South and East India regions. The role requires a strong background in the building material industry, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a proven ability to persuade and close deals. Experience in the wooden flooring sector is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development:
Identify and target potential clients in South India.
Develop and implement strategies to acquire new business and achieve sales targets.
Conduct market research to identify opportunities and stay updated on industry trends.
Client Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and address any issues or concerns promptly.
Sales & Negotiation:
Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
Negotiate terms and conditions to close deals successfully.
Maintain a strong command of negotiation techniques to achieve favorable outcomes.
Field Work:
Regularly visit potential and existing clients in the South India regions.
Attend industry events, exhibitions, and trade shows to network and promote the companys products.
Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and business development efforts.
Analyze sales data and market trends to identify areas for improvement and growth.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the building material industry, with a proven track record in business development and sales.
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong persuasive and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
Preferred: Experience in the wooden flooring industry is highly advantageous.
Additional Requirements:
Willingness to travel extensively within the South India regions.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
