Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and target-oriented individual to join our team as a Business Development Manager.
As a Business Development Manager, your primary responsibility will be to generate new business opportunities and drive revenue growth by engaging with potential clients in the insurance industry.
You will be responsible for prospecting, qualifying leads, and building strong relationships to expand our client base at Trust Life. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, a strong sales acumen, and a deep understanding of insurance products and services.
Responsibilities:
Identify and prospect potential clients in the insurance and investment industry, including individuals, businesses, and organizations, to generate new business opportunities.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify target markets, industry trends, and competitive landscapes.
Willing to work as per Canadian (EST) time zone with proper work set-up.
Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads through proactive cold calling, networking, referrals, and attending industry events.
Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including insurance carriers, agents, brokers, and decision-makers, to generate referrals and increase business opportunities.
Conduct thorough needs assessments and analysis for prospective clients to understand their insurance requirements and recommend appropriate products and services.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, finance, or a related field.
Proven experience in business development, sales, or customer relationship roles within the insurance industry, preferably in insurance brokerage or agency settings.
Strong knowledge of insurance products, policies, underwriting processes, and risk management concepts.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Self-motivated with a strong sales acumen and the ability to work independently.
Goal-oriented with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Proficiency in using CRM software, sales tracking tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
