Job Summary:
The Sales Specialist is responsible for promoting and selling and seafood products to customers, including wholesalers, retailers, and individual consumers. This role involves understanding customer needs, maintaining strong relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction, and meeting sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development:
Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the market.
Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers.
Conduct market research to identify potential clients and market trends.
Prepare and deliver sales presentations to potential and existing clients.
Customer Relationship Management:
Address customer inquiries and provide information on fish and seafood products.
Ensure customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service and resolving issues promptly.
Build long-term relationships with clients through regular follow-ups and personalized service.
Product Knowledge and Promotion:
Stay informed about the latest products, market trends, and competitor activities.
Educate customers about the different types of fish and seafood, their benefits, and usage.
Promote new products and special deals to clients.
Order Management and Fulfillment:
Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of products.
Monitor inventory levels and communicate with the supply chain team for replenishments.
Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and transactions.
Prepare regular sales reports for management review.
Provide feedback on customer preferences and market demand to assist in product planning.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not required).
Experience:
Proven experience in sales, preferably in the seafood or food industry.
Strong understanding of fish and seafood products is a plus.
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in using sales and CRM software.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Other Requirements:
Ability to travel as needed.
Valid driver's license.
Working Conditions:
This position may require working outside standard business hours to meet customer needs.
Physical ability to handle seafood products and stand for extended periods.
