Quality Assurance Automation Engineer - Java/Selenium

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled QA - Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software quality assurance, experience with automated testing frameworks, and a passion for ensuring high-quality software delivery. This role involves designing and implementing automated tests, identifying and reporting bugs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve our products.

Key Roles And Responsibilities

Automated Test Development :
 Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, and desktop applications.
 Implement automated test cases using tools such as Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.

Test Planning And Execution
 Collaborate with QA analysts and developers to understand requirements and design comprehensive test plans.
 Execute automated test suites and analyze results to identify defects and areas for improvement.

Bug Identification And Reporting
 Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
 Work with development teams to reproduce issues and verify fixes.

Continuous Integration And Delivery
 Integrate automated tests into continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
 Work with DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployment processes.

Quality Assurance Best Practices
 Promote QA best practices and standards within the team.
 Participate in code reviews to ensure testability and reliability of code.

Performance And Load Testing
 Develop and execute performance and load tests to ensure the scalability and stability of applications.
 Analyze performance test results and provide recommendations for improvements.

Documentation And Reporting
 Maintain clear and concise test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test results.
 Prepare and present test reports to stakeholders.

Team Collaboration
 Work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to ensure high-quality software releases.
 Provide mentorship and guidance to junior QA engineers as needed.

Qualifications
 Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
 Proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer or similar role.
 Strong proficiency in automated testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG).
 Experience with CI/CD tools and processes (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
 Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
 Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
 Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus.
 Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
 Strong communication and teamwork skills.
