Sr. UI/UX Designer

Overview

This role involves closely working with founders, product managers, marketers and developers to design the best-looking investment research management technology of the planet. You will be expected to optimize all aspect of user experience with the technology. As a designer you will own entire design stack- web interface, app interface, branding and marketing collateral. Your design should bring intuitiveness and ease of use for the use cases. The role shall provide opportunity to be part of product that is being built from grounds up. The incumbent will be key person in deciding all aspect of tech product design  style guides, standards, typography, graphic design approaches, UI pattern libraries  both their creation and usage.

Roles and Responsibilities

 Developing UI mockups, (low- and high-fidelity) wireframes, animations, flow diagrams, storyboards, sitemaps, and prototypes that clearly illustrate how new app features / new web interfaces works

 Liaising with the Product team to understand user needs, psychology & product USPs and use it in designing smooth in-app user experiences

 Adhering to style standards on typography and graphic design

 Designing mechanisms to collect user feedback and continuously improve on our designs

 Conducting user interviews and online research to define and understand our user personas

 Participating and contributing to business and product discussions

 Front-end development of responsive UI solutions following good coding practices, including creation/correction of CSS, and transforming mock-ups into semantic HTML and development of innovative solutions for different platforms as well as integration with DBs or other server-side logic

 Being opinionated and backing those opinions with strong logic

 Reviewing requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback

Prerequisites

 Iterative mindset considering no design is perfect on the first attempt

 Knowledge of UX design best practices, including user interface ergonomics, responsive design, data protection and security principles

 Working knowledge of human interaction design

 Balanced mindset when it comes to functional and aesthetically pleasing designs

 Experiences with designing and graphical tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar

 Experience in Agile development environments

Experience

4+ years of experience with Adobe XD and Illustrator, Figma or similar software

Education

Bachelors degree in design related field
