Location: Hyderabad, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh.

Position Overview: The Area Sales Manager (ASM) for General Trade will be
responsible for leading and managing the sales team to achieve sales targets in the
general trade segment. The ASM will play a critical role in developing and executing
sales strategies, building relationships with key stakeholders, and expanding the market
presence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy and Planning:
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets in the
general trade segment.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify
opportunities for growth.
Plan and allocate resources effectively to maximize sales opportunities.
2. Team Leadership:
Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales representatives to achieve sales
objectives.
Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities to enhance the team's
performance.
Set clear performance targets and provide regular feedback to team members.
3. Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and
retailers.
Understand customer needs and preferences and provide solutions to meet their
requirements.
Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and effective manner.
4. Market Expansion:
Identify and develop new business opportunities to expand the customer base.
Explore new market segments and channels for product distribution.
Collaborate with marketing teams to launch promotional activities and
campaigns.
5. Sales Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare and analyze sales reports, forecasts, and budgets.
Monitor sales performance against targets and take corrective actions as
necessary.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and
transactions.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Proven experience (5-7 years) in sales, preferably in the FMCG (Fast-Moving
Consumer Goods) sector.
Strong understanding of the general trade market in Hyderabad, Telangana, and
Andhra Pradesh.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate and manage a team to achieve sales targets.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Additional Requirements:
A valid driver's license and own vehicle.
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
