Head - Data Engineering

As Head of Data Engineering, you are part of Enterprise Architecture, Data & Integration team focusing on enhancing the overall availability, accessibility, and monetization of data across Max Life Business functions. You will be responsible for building hybrid and multi-cloud solutions with seamless integrations across multiple customer-facing digital assets, back-end systems, and external sources. You will manage the data solutions and engineering capabilities as a horizontal in IT function.

Your responsibilities include -
 Identifying the right technologies, defining data strategy & roadmap, institutionalizing architectural and engineering best practices to best benefit the organization
 Working closely with CDIO, COO, business heads, AI Works, Reporting and Analytics, software delivery teams you influence decisions across Max Life through data driven insights

 You bring deep technical expertise in designing and delivering high performance, scalable, secure & flexible data platforms i.e., Lakehouse, Data Quality, Data Governance, Data Integration, MDM solutions using innovative/emerging technologies including cloud native and agnostic platforms.

Desired qualifications and experience:
 B.E / MCA / MBA from a reputed institute
 15+ years of experience with technical analysis, architecting and implementation of data warehousing and data lake solutions on-premises and on-cloud (preferably AWS Native Lake Platform and services, Glue, EMR, DMS, Redshift)
 10+ years of hands-on experience data engineering & modelling, reporting, analytics platforms  Relational Database, NoSQL, Hadoop, SPARK, Informatica, CDC, SAS, Visualization and Dashboarding tools/libraries, BODS, Apache NiFi, EMR, Erwin and/or Rational Rose, real-time data streaming tools (Kafka, kinesis) etc.
 Should have architected and delivered at least 3+ EDW, Data Lake projects.
 5+ experience of designing and modernizing existing data stores/EDW on cloud platform.
 Experience in Insurance and BFSI domain is a plus.
 Experience in presenting data strategy and architecture for specific business needs to peers and senior management.
 Should be working or should have worked with reputed organizations or startups,
