Overview

The Overseas Education Counsellor plays a vital role in guiding students and their families through the process of selecting and applying to international educational institutions. They are responsible for providing comprehensive information on academic programs, admissions, visa applications, and assisting in the transition to an overseas education environment, ultimately contributing to the organization's objective of facilitating international academic opportunities for students.

Key Responsibilities
 Assessing students" academic abilities and career aspirations
 Providing personalized counseling to students and parents about overseas educational opportunities
 Developing and implementing strategies to attract potential students
 Collaborating with universities and colleges to stay updated on educational programs and admissions requirements
 Assisting students with application processes, including documentation and visa applications
 Organizing and conducting educational seminars and workshops
 Networking and building relationships with educational institutions and relevant stakeholders
 Advising students on cultural adaptation and lifestyle changes in a different country
 Tracking and monitoring students" progress and outcomes
 Participating in recruitment fairs and events to promote overseas education opportunities
 Providing continuous support to students during their abroad studies
 Researching and analyzing market trends and competitors
 Collaborating with marketing teams on promotional materials and campaigns
 Preparing and maintaining student files and records

Required Qualifications
 Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, International Relations, or related field
 Proven experience in international education counseling or related field
 Strong understanding of foreign education systems and various study destinations
 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
 Ability to multitask and manage a diverse workload
 Proficiency in MS Office and educational counseling software
 Knowledge of visa procedures and international student requirements
 Strong sales and negotiation skills
 Ability to conduct detailed research and analysis
 Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
 Familiarity with cultural differences and adaptation challenges
 High level of organization and attention to detail
 Ability to work independently and as part of a team
 Prior experience in international recruitment and marketing is an advantage
 Fluency in multiple languages is a plus
